An objective of the undergraduate business program is to prepare students for positions in commercial and not-for profit organizations by providing them the basic knowledge of how these organizations function and equipping them with the necessary competencies to work effectively.  Our intention is to provide our students the opportunity to demonstrate:

• be prepared to make ethical decisions,
• be competent in the disciplinary foundations of business,
• understand global and multicultural perspectives,
• have critical thinking and quantitative skills,
• be effective written and oral communicators,
• have team and interpersonal competence, and
• competently use contemporary technologies.

A requirement of the Bachelor of Business Administration degree is an electronic Portfolio which, demonstrates the attainment of these critical competencies.

e-Portfolio Evaluations

Most all students will submit their e-Portfolio URL twice for review.  The first is a preliminary submission at which time they will receive faculty feedback and recommendations for improvement .  The second or final submission is the finished product which demonstrates the students attainment of the above mentioned competencies and addresses the recommendations received from the preliminary submission.

ePortfolios that meet all requirements at the preliminary submission stage will have the final submission waived.  In this case however, you are encouraged to keep your portfolio up-to-date as you finish your degree for use during your job search.
